·         This unit of CPE is designed primarily for entry-level students such as seminarians, ordained clergy, qualified laypersons, and postgraduate theology students fulfilling a prerequisite for CPE residency. The summer intensive unit is a full time eleven-week program. The education fee is $1000.00

Lutheran Homes of Oshkosh, Oshkosh, WI- has four placements for our 2008-09 ACPE Residency program. Our students are placed in either a Hospital, or Geriatric facility for the residency year which begins in September.  The Residency stipend for 2008-9 will be $21,500. Some low cost housing is available. Gundersen  Lutheran Health System, LaCrosse, WI -  There are 2 positions

         available  beginning  at  the  end  of  August  2008 for a 3 unit,

         12-month  residency.   The  total cost for the 3 units is $500.00.

         We  offer health insurance, tuition scholarships & other benefits.

         Resident I $26,000, II $27,000.  GLHS is a Level II Trauma Center,

Supervisor-in Training:

BroMenn Healthcare in Bloomington/Normal, IL is seeking candidates for their three year ACPE Supervisory CPE Residency. Applicants must have completed a master degree in theology or divinity from an accredited seminary or university.  Applicants must have four units of CPE with the ACPE, be endorsed or commissioned by their denomination or faith group and have at least two years experience in institutional ministry. The Supervisory Resident will provide pastoral care to a variety of areas in the hospital as well as provide supervision in our CPE programs as they move toward certification as an Associate CPE Supervisor. Supervisory Residents are employees of the hospital and receive full benefits package and an annual salary that begins at $26,000.00. Housing assistance is available for the first year. The Fairview CPE Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota is seeking applicants for their Supervisory Education program either as “community-based” student or as a supervisory resident within a Fairview/Ebenezer facility.

 

A community-based student would already be employed as a chaplain in a clinical setting outside of Fairview where they would have the opportunity to spend a portion of their time in education and supervision.  Applications for the community-based program are considered on an ongoing basis. The supervisory resident position will be open for applications until May 1, 2008.
