Unit Openings

Residencies and/or Single Unit Offerings:

Riverside Medical Center in Kankakee, IL, is now offering a CPE Residency and is looking to recruit four Residents to begin August 26, 2018. We will pay $32,000.00 plus a benefit package worth $7,000.00 plus vacation days.

Aurora Medical Center Oshkosh
, which has been named in Truven’s 100 Top Hospitals 2017, is offering extended CPE units.  Students will be placed at four different Aurora medical centers in central and eastern Wisconsin, gaining experience in both inpatient and outpatient spiritual care, including ICU, ED, oncology, and palliative care.

Mayo Clinic CPE, Rochester, Minnesota – Three resident positions beginning September 4, 2018 through August 31, 2019, three units of CPE spread out over a 12-month residency. Residents are offered a broad array of clinical opportunities, which include medical and surgical subspecialties, diverse intensive care unit ministries, organ transplantation, a children’s hospital, a psychiatric hospital, hospice, and a level 1 regional trauma center.   Two different hospital campuses make this a uniquely powerful learning environment. Mayo Clinic health and dental benefits are available to Residents at reasonable rates.   The Resident stipend is $29,800 for 12 months. There is a $50 application fee. Application Deadline is March 15, 2018.

Minneapolis VA Health Care System has a number of openings for the September 18, 2017 to February 23, 2018 Fall/Winter CPE Internship Unit. Clinical assignments, group time, and individual supervision will be 17-18 hours a week after orientation. For those that are interested, clinical assignments will include opportunities to participate in spiritual care research. Gundersen Health CPE Program, La Crosse, Wisconsin

Join our dynamic CPE program in La Crosse, Wisconsin, at Gundersen Health System. We are a nationally recognized program where our Clinical Pastoral Education offers unparalleled training, a robust stipend, reasonable cost of living, and benefits including health insurance for residents. We are still accepting applicants for our Summer Intensive CPE Program, May 30-August 11, 2017 • $500 stipend (subject to approval)

Extended CPE Program Oct. 5, 2017-March 9, 2018 • $500 stipend (subject to approval)
