CPE Supervisor

Allina Hospitals & Clinics, Minneapolis / St. Paul, MN

Allina Hospitals & Clinics, a not-for-profit system of hospitals, clinics and other health care services (www.allina.com ), is seeking a Director for Spiritual Care and Pastoral Education who will administer spiritual care services at Abbott Northwestern Hospital (Minneapolis, MN) and oversee spiritual care at three other Allina Twin Cities hospitals.  The Director will create a collaborative work environment that attracts and retains highly qualified spiritual staff and lead the Allina Clinical Pastoral Education Center (http://www.allina.com/ahs/cpe.nsf ) to ensure high quality CPE and continued ACPE accreditation.  The Director will also supervise CPE intern and residency programs of clinical pastoral education at Abbott Northwestern Hospital.  Requirements:  Baccalaureate and Master of Divinity Degrees.  Supervisor with the Association for Clinical Pastoral Education. 5-7 years of health care ministry manager experience.  3 years pastoral experience in parish and/or health care.  3 years of clinical pastoral education supervision.  3 years preferred of Ethics Committee experience.  EEO/AA

Essentia Health is seeking a fulltime CPE Supervisor to fill an anticipated vacancy due to retirement. 

This position coordinates and directs the Clinical Pastoral Education Program as a component of the Department of Chaplaincy Services in all its aspects, including administration, implementation, marketing, evaluation and financial responsibility.

Our CPE program has been in existence since 1986 and is accredited by the United States Conference of Catholics Bishops Commission on Certification and Accreditation meeting the standards the USCCB/CCA and the NACC. Our goal is to become dually accredited with ACPE.

Become a part of a specialty ministry team, caring for residents in longer and shorter term placements. University Specialty Center is part of the Good Samaritan Society and seeks a chaplain to assist with pastoral care and to share in department leadership.

Part time (20 hours/week) with benefits

A strong candidate will have 4 units of Clinical Pastoral Education (or the equivalent), at least a year of experience in pastoral care in institutional settings, and will be available for day, evening, and some weekend responsibilities.
